The GFA?s Status Committee has given more time to AshGold and Medeama to settle Malik Akowuah transfer dispute
The Ghana Football Association Status Committee has given more time to AshGold and Medeama to resolve the transfer dispute over midfielder Malik Akowuah.
The two parties told the FA?s Status Committee panel they need more time to thrash out things.
AshGold dragged the 23-year-old to the FA?s headquarters in Accra after reportedly signed a contract with Medeama while he still had two months left on his current AshGold deal.
Medeama denied the reports and said the player had only showed interest in joining the club but stepped in to convince AshGold to opt for an amicable settlement when they reported the issue to the FA.
AshGold CEO Kudjo Fianoo and his Medeama counterparts have already held preliminary discussions about the matter while Medeama supremo Moses Armah has also personally talked to Fianoo.
The two parties are likely to meet early next week and finalise talks before appearing before the committee next Thursday.
AshGold Chief Fianoo said earlier this week his side would not block the player?s move from the club.
