Mali’s Security, Justice ministers dismissed in cabinet reshuffle

Mali President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita on Thursday effected a cabinet reshuffle that saw Security Minister Gen. Sada Samake and his Justice counterpart Mahamadou Diarra dismissed from government, an official source said.

The source said the new government which is comprised of 31 ministers as opposed to 29 in the previous government that was formed on Jan. 10, 2015, has four new faces.

The Security ministry has now been taken over by the governor of Kayes region, Col. Salif Traore while the Justice ministry has been taken over by Madam Sanogo Aminata Malle.

It was noted that among the four new cabinet members, there was no minister from the armed groups in the North. Enditem
