In the Ghanaian music industry, a lot happen, mostly a lot that we that know can?t tell because it might cause more issues. Anyway Becca?s newest video to her ?Time 4 Me? song might be new but a whole lot of issues are surrounding it. The problem arises where the director of the video or let?s just say the camera guy, George Freeman who has directed videos like RnM?s ?Simple Girl?, 4X4’s ?Moko Ni? just to name a few dragged Becca?s management EKB Music to eTV?s Talk Showzbiz for breaching a contract they signed to pay him for his services.

According to George Freeman, he was to be paid $1,480 for shooting the video in Japan excluding transport (to and fro Japan) and accommodation. He was to be paid the amount before they leave Ghana for Japan but he was not paid even after they got to Japan. He later decided to stay for a while after the shoot to buy equipments for his job. Becca and his team left for Ghana. The director claim that Becca?s manager Kiki Banson sent police after him and faked a document that said the director want to seek asylum in Japan which was later rubbished by the Police as there was no hard evidence proving the fact. The director said he was paid less than half of the amount they owe to him after he landed in Ghana. He felt cheated and rather had to take it to the public.

The spokesperson for EKB, Richard, out of rage couldn?t be clear but show documents which agreed to the charges against them and also an alleged forged document to disgrace the man. Richard also claims, they didn?t pay the guy in full because he did half job that is, he didn?t edit the video but rather gave them the shots and that they had to pay a South African video editor $2,000 to edit the video.

So the guy who did all the hard job gets $1,480 dollars which he was denied but the editor gets paid $2,000. That doesn?t sound like fair and you will be surprised to know these are the common things that happen in the Ghanaian music industry.

As it stands there seem to be a lot as confirmed by the pundits and Becca?s management seemed to be in the wrong. Sigh! As they said, they will really let the cat out of the bag. Could this also be a publicity stunt to promote Becca?s new video which you can find below? Leave your comments.
