Mannan J Waru Receives Merit Ambassador for Peace Award

The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) has honoured Dr. Mannan J Waru the Youth Chief of Jumapo Zongo in New Juaben North Constituency with Merit Ambassador for Peace Award.

The award was officially conferred on him at End-of-Year Assembly /Ambassador for Peace Awards night in Accra.

The Merit Ambassador for Peace Award is being given to individuals who have demonstrated without a reasonable doubt their commitment to charity and other peace-building efforts in and around their community.

Over the years, the Business Consultant who is also the Chairman/ Founder of Voice Zongo Communities in Ghana has been working tirelessly to promote and consolidate peace in Ghana.

According to the Youth Chief of Jumapo Zongo, his ultimate aim is to chart a new path that would bring more development to the Zongo communities in the country.

Receiving the awards, Dr. Waru in elation commended Universal Peace Federation (UPF) for the honour bestowed upon him and vowed his willingness to continue to spearhead the peace agenda in order to make the world a safer place for everybody.

Earlier this year, Dr. Mannan J Waru the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) awarded Dr. Mannan J Waru as a peace ambassador for championing the cause of peace in the country.

The five categories of the awards including; Ambassador for Peace, Merit Ambassador for Peace, Patron Ambassador for Peace, Long Service award as well as Crown of Peace awards were conferred on the awardees for working assiduously to help to promote and consolidate peace in Ghana.

Notable among the awardees were, Cletus Avorka, Member of Parliament for Zebilla, madam Dela Sowah, Member of Parliament for Kpando, Azumah Nelson, three-time world boxing champion, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adusi also known as Bola Ray, media personality, Kwame Bamfo Ofosu among others.
