Konadu has been linked with a Kotoko return
Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has confirmed that he will not return to his former club Kumasi Asante Kotoko because his commitments with the Black Stars will not permit him to combine the two jobs.
The Porcupine Warriors wrote to the Ghana FA on Monday seeking to appoint their former player and coach following the decision to sack Mas-ud Didi Dramani.
Konadu has confirmed that he is not interested in returning to his former club because of his commitments to the national team.
?Kotoko wrote to the Ghana FA, seeking their approval to permit me coach the club, but I decided not to take up the job, after I was told, because my time won?t permit me,? Maxwell Konadu told Fox FM.
Konadu guided?Kotoko to win the 2011-12 league title, before he was appointed as assistant coach of the male senior national football team of Ghana in 2012.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently lying 13 on the league log with 10 points in 9 games and have gone 5 consecutive matches without a win.
The Ghana Premier League continues in the week-end, with Kotoko making a date with Medeama at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
