The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) on Thursday added its voice to condemn the recent attacks on some journalists by some supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Some crew and reporters of Metro TV, TV3 and Joy FM were physically assaulted and verbally attacked as well.
The MFWA called on the leadership of the NPP to instruct their supporters to desist from any harassment of media persons conducting their normal functions as well as the security agencies to also provide security to media persons covering political activities and bring to book anyone who attacked the media personnel.
He also called on the Media Commission and the National Communication Authority to investigate the disruption in transmission of NET2 Television, Oman FM as well as Ash Fm during the election period.
