Nigerian music industry has evolved massively, producing some of the finest and world recognised stars globally. There are also new stars drawing attention with their unique delivery and one of them is US-based Nigerian Afrobeat/Afropop singer Oluwaseyi Ojo popularly known as Afrorolls.
Speaking on his growth and foray into the entertainment industry, the Indiana State based star who is also a music/sound engineer, songwriter, entrepreneur and Business Solution Architect said: “Music for me is a general language. As a kid growing up in Lagos- Nigeria, you almost certainly hear sounds from people like Fela Kuti and Sunny Ade and even international artists like Jay Z, R Kelly, Puff Daddy, etc.
Afrorolls has few singles such as ‘Moving Train’, ‘Palm Wine’, ‘Ire’ , ‘Alasiko’ , ‘Banana’ , ‘Ranju’, ‘Slow Wine’ , and an Extended Play (EP) titled ‘Don Corleon’ to his credit.
Afrorolls has nurtured his talent in the music world and also honed his passion with the production of sounds. He currently owns Daniel Kings Empire, a label based in Indiana, United States.
He earned four (4) nominations at the Afrique Entertainment Awards USA where he won two (2) out of the categories. Afrorolls was nominated alongside some other top artistes for the award.
Plans are far advanced for the release of his debut album called ” God Made This (GMT)” this year.
