Meta Platforms is enhancing its social network, Threads, with new features to make it more appealing to businesses and digital creators.
The updates, initially available on the web version and set to expand to the mobile app, include advanced analytics tools and post-scheduling capabilities.
Threads users will now have access to detailed metrics on post performance and follower demographics, which will provide valuable insights for those managing brand accounts or creating content.
Additionally, the new draft feature allows users to prepare multiple drafts of posts before publishing. Scheduled posting, enabling users to plan and publish various posts in advance, will be rolled out shortly.
These updates come as Threads marks its first anniversary. Meta is positioning these new tools to attract creators and businesses by addressing everyday audience engagement and content management challenges.
“Threads aims to be a platform that fosters conversations and connects people, businesses, and creators around their interests,” Meta said in a blog post. “We continuously evolve Threads to meet user needs and improve their experience.”
Launched in July 2023 in response to Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter and its rebranding to X, Threads reported 175 million monthly active users as of July.
