Very Reverend(Rev) Nicholas Odum-Baidoo , Superintendent Minister of the Adweso Circuit of the Methodist Church has given the assurance that no matter the situation, in 2020 the favour of God will be on the country.

He was speaking in his new year message at the Adweso Calvary Methodist Church near Koforidua on New Year Day.
He said because of interest in Sakawa, many fetish and unholy activities polluted many communities in the country, but at the right time, God would cleanse the country to establish his authority and favour.

Very Rev Odum-Baidoo expressed concern about the over aggressiveness creeping into the youth and quick resort to violence and advised them to allow the will of God to prevail.

He advised the political leaders of the country to avoid words and activities that divide the country in their political campaigns towards the 2020 elections.

The Ghana news Agency (GNA) was established on March 5, 1957, i.e. on the eve of Ghana's independence and charged with the "dissemination of truthful unbiased news". It was the first news agency to be established in Sub-Saharan Africa. GNA was part of a comprehensive communication policy that sought to harness the information arm of the state to build a viable, united and cohesive nation-state. GNA has therefore been operating in the unique role of mobilizing the citizens for nation building, economic and social development, national unity and integration.
