Minister donates to religious institutions on Christmas

Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, the Upper West Regional Minister, has donated soft drinks to some religious bodies, political parties and institutions in the Region as a gesture to make their Christmas worthwhile.

Mr Cletus Awuni, the Public Relations Officer of the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council, who presented the drinks to the religious bodies on behalf of the Minister, expressed gratitude for the peaceful coexistence.

He said it was to mark the birth of Jesus Christ, an occasion that signifies togetherness, sharing and living in peace with one another.

The Chancellor of the Upper West Catholic Bishop Secretariat, Reverend Father Benjamin Firiteu, who received the items on behalf of the Catholic Bishop of Wa, expressed gratitude for the gesture and assured that they would be shared equitably among all the dioceses there.

Similar items were also donated to the Christian Council of Churches, Chief Imams, Ahamadya Unit, Wa Naa, the NDC and NPP Regional Youth secretariats, radio stations and other identifiable youth groups in the Region.
