Ghana?s Sports minister Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has reiterated his confidence in Kwesi Appiah to lead the Black Stars to success at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Appiah will become the first indigenous trainer to guide the Black Stars at the global piece after qualifying the side to the tournament.

However, media reports about the potential appointment of Serbian Milovan Rajevac as a backroom staff has raised several questions about Appiah?s credibility to lead the team to chalk success in the South American country.

But Ghana?s charismatic sports minister Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah insists his outfit will offer unflinching support to the ex-Kotoko great to deliver the ultimate in Brazil.

?I haven?t met the FA President who has just returned from Zurich so I don?t know if any such thing has gone on,? he told the public,? he said

?Our position is that Kwesi Appiah is the coach and the leader of the team and we?re ready to support him in whatever it will take for him to deliver.

?As to who it?s going to be (that will assist Kwesi Appiah in Brazil), that conversation has not come to my attention. It?s only when such a conversation has come to me that I can comment on it in an informed basis?.

Ghana are anxious to go a step further this year after reaching the quarter-final stage at the last tournament in South African four years ago.
