Mrs Ofosu-Adjare expressed the satisfaction during a tour of the Odweanoma Mountain, Atibie, venue for the 2015 Paragliding Festival, to access the level of preparedness of the people and venue for the upcoming festival.

She said the festival was meant for the whole country, and organised by the Ministry over the years for Ghanaians to have a feel of paragliding and other side attractions that came with it.

Mrs Ofosu-Adjare said ?paragliding is an interesting tourism adventure that helps the people to have an experience on how it is about. It is not meant for the Ministry to make money?.

She said pilots from the United States, Peru, France, Japan, Belgium and Switzerland, have started arriving in the country and have been assessing the area and venue for the event, saying they were satisfied and confident that the event would be a success.

The sector Minister assured Ghanaians that the festival would be fun and interesting, devoid of bad-minded people, since the security services would be in force to ensure the safety of all.

She said this year?s festival would also provide a platform to showcase the rich arts and crafts of the Eastern Region, and visitors would have the opportunity to purchase items of their choice at the festival grounds.

The Minister added that “visitors who cannot paraglide will be entertained with live band music featuring the best of Ghanaian high life tunes”.
