The popular saying ?the way to a man?s heart is through his stomach? can be switched around to read ?the best way to win the heart of children is through the stomach? to aptly describe the feast presented by the delegates of the Miss Malaika Ghana 2012

The ladies treated some children to a ?feast of Queens? in Accra as part of their weekly task last week. The children  who were from Home Of Hope an orphanage and Special Attention Project an NGO that focuses on learning disabilities of children, enjoyed sumptuous meals prepared by the delegates amidst some good music and lots of fun.

The cooking contest which was sponsored by Stallion rice, Rice and sugar shopping centre, Sadia and Safina water saw the delegates being grouped in pairs resulting in a total of five groups. The delegates cooked meals such as Stir fry spaghetti, jollof rice with fried chicken and chicken nuggets, Salad, French fries, fried rice fruit kebabs and ice cream.

The Judges for the cooking contest were the renowned actress and diva Lydia Forson and Chef Steven who also came on the show as guest chef to do something for the viewers at home not to feel left out. The two judges had a tough task choosing the winner for the cooking contest.

At the end of the cooking contest, Anima and Sadia (Golden Choice) came first they could not hide their joy when the results were announced. Sonia and Edlyn (Royal Stallion), came second Aisha and Sharon (Fantastic Two) came third Ama and Ella (Royal Maidens) came fourth and the last but not the least in 5th position was Regina and Frances (Pommes Chef)

The cooking contest which was held at the Efua Sutherland Park was an initiative to give back to society. The delegates did not only cook for these school children but also donated some clothing?s and shoes to them. The children screamed with excitement when funny face showed up to entertain and advise them.

The children could not help but do their own rendition of azonto when Funny Face sang his hit songs sweet banana and aponkye pomee. He advised the children to take their studies seriously, be respectful and obedient and above all God fearing if they want to be successful one day.

Reigning Malaika Queen, Gerry Partington and some past delegates like Magdalene, and Eugenia of Miss Malaika were there to lend a hand by making party bags for the children.

Viewers are to power their favorites to victory by texting her name to 1757 across all networks. The delegate with the highest votes gets an automatic top 5 spot at the grand finale and one step away from winning the 3C?s that?s the crown, car and the cash on October 27TH .
