A clarion call has been issued to stakeholders in the digital space to collaborate with Mobile Web Ghana to reach as many young people as possible through their Ghana  Digtour project.

The Chief Executive Officer of Mobile Web Ghana, Ms. Florence Toffa, made this appeal during the recent launch of the Ghana Digital Tour project, dubbed: “Ghana  Digtour project,” in Accra.

She highlighted her organization’s achievements in the digital space over the past 14 years and emphasized the importance of seizing this opportunity.

Ms. Toffa urged stakeholders to offer job opportunities to the trainees once they have completed the training and acquired skills from the project.

She explained that the Ghana  Digtour project is a two-year initiative, launched and implemented by Siplon Africa in collaboration with Mobile Web Ghana, aimed at equipping job seekers and entrepreneurs in Ghana with essential digital skills.

The project aims to provide training in fundamental digital skills to about 600 young people aged 18-40 years, which is expected to enhance their employment prospects and professional opportunities.

Ms. Toffa further explained that the project is designed as an in-person training program, offering hands-on guidance and a collaborative learning environment to enhance participants’ skills. To date, approximately 183 participants have been trained since the program began a few months ago.

She expressed concern about the low female participation and urged young women to take advantage of this opportunity to stay abreast of technological advancements in the digital space. Ms. Toffa also expressed gratitude to Siplon Africa for their partnership and called on others to join the initiative.

Dr. Bouna Kane, CEO of Simplon Africa, praised Mobile Web Ghana for their collaboration and achievements thus far and pledged continued support for the project.
