The policemen have been deployed for the Eid celebrations

The police in Kebbi state have mobilised additional mobile policemen to beef up security in the state during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

State police spokesperons, ASP Ume Kalu, disclosed this in Birnin Kebbi yesterday.  He however failed to give the number of mobile policemen deployed but did say that crime rate would be reduced to the barest minimum.

“The routine operations have been upgraded for the festive period in all parts of the state as well as border towns,” he said.

Kalu called on the people to continue to support the command for maximum protection of lives and properties and to provide useful information to the police.

He described people in the state as peace-loving and willing to support security agencies in their operations, adding: “the command will ensure sustained peace in the state.”
