The troubles for the newly signed coach of premier league side, ObuasiAshantigold FC, Bashir Hayford, seems to befar from over as he is set to face in-form Elmina Sharks in the MTN FA Cup today.

Mr. Hayford?s woes are further compounded by intense pressure from supporters of Ashantigold who have set for him a target to amass 10 points from his next four games.

After beating Ato Plans by 1-0 in the preliminary round of the MTN FA Cup, Elmina Sharks are bent to add to the woes of Coach Bash in the round of 32 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Coach Bashir, who was signed from SC Medeama in the second round of the premier league, has managed only one point from two games played.

With ten men in his first league match of the second round, he held BerekumChelsea to a pulsating 0-0 drawat the Golden City Park in Berekum.

That performance aroused the hopes of the Aboakese supporters that Bashir was their ?messiah.?

However, in his second game at home, he lost by 0-1 to less fancy side, Wa All Stars.

Consequently, the support base of the miners, known as, The Shafts, are suspect of Bashir?s performance seeing it as ?an on-and-off performance.?

Todaygathered that on Sunday, March 3, 2013 fans of Ashgold who witnessed the team?s defeat to Wa All Stars at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium, chastised and threw warning signals to Coach Bashir.

Speaking to Today, AboagyeAtuobi, an Ashgold fan from Tutuka, said ?We would petition the management of the club, and the Chief Executive Officer, KudjoeFianoo, to give Coach Bashir a target to amass 10 points from his next three games. This means three wins and one draw from the next four games.?

?We want to win the league and qualify to the CAF Champions League next season,? he added.

Ashantigold currently occupies the 7th position with 25 points with Coah Bash?s former club, SC Medeama, leading the log with 31 points.

Ashantigold?s next four matches are against Dwarfs and Tema Youth at away, and against Edubiase and Hearts of Oak at home.
