Morena Baccarin, who plays Vanessa Carlisle a.k.a. Copycat in the upcoming Marvel superhero movie “Deadpool”, recently shared some details about her character. The 36-year-old actress hinted that the character would have a quite big role in the movie as she would be involved in the action.

When asked about how big her role was in the film, Baccarin said that her character would be “in the entire movie.” She later explained that Carlisle and Wade Wilson’s (Ryan Reynolds) relationship had “a really big arc.” In the upcoming film, Carlisle appears alongside Wilson from the very first time they meet until he pushes her away after he gets cancer. Then, they are back together after eight years.

Baccarin also said that although her character wouldn’t have mutant powers in the film, she would definitely be involved in the action. “I do get involved in the action. And it’s great. This character’s scrappy, she’s not worried about her hair and her nails or messing around. She gets down and dirty and she’s not a victim, she’s not a damsel in distress,” Baccarin said of her character’s role.

The actress went on revealing her favorite scene, mentioning that Carlisle and Wilson would be “having sex throughout the holidays.” “It was one of my favorite, believe it or not, things to shoot, even though it sucks being naked all the time,” she shared.

Based on Marvel comic books, “Deadpool” follows the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool.

The movie also stars T.J. Miller and Brianna Hildebrand. Directed by Tim Miller, the superhero movie is scheduled to open in the U.S. on February 12, 2016.
