Mozambican President Nyusi in France

Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi on Thursday dismissed through separate presidential prders the prime minister, five ministers and two provincial governors, and his own presidential counselor, according to the press release from the presidential office.

The dismissed are Carlos Agostinho do Rosario as Prime Minister, Jaime Basilio Monteiro as Interior Minister, Conceita Sortane as Minister of Education and Human Development, Nyeleti Mondlane as Minister of Youth and Sports, Carmelita Namashulua as Minister of State Administration and Civil Service and Vitoria Diogo, Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security.

Nyusi also dismissed Catarina Dimande, from the position of Counselor to the President of the Republic.

Dismissals include the Governor of Maputo Province Raimundo Diomba and Francisca Tomas from the post of Governor of Niassa Province.

The dismissals took place a few days before the inauguration of the provincial governors and deputies of the Assembly of the Republic (AR) and the inauguration of the President Nyusi himself, scheduled next week.

Secretary-General of the AR, Armando Correia, said the conditions for the inauguration of the deputies are already created when speaking on Thursday to the press in Maputo. Enditem
