Mozambique will have South Africa’s 50 million Rand (around 7.1 million U.S. dollars) investment in livestock, state radio reported on Monday.

The money is going for the production of milk and the building of milk processing plant in the southern Gaza province which is famous for cattle and goat production.
According to the national broadcaster, the project is under agreement between the governments of Mozambique and South Africa signed last year in Maputo.
A similar project will also be carried out in the central region of Manica, where cattle is abundant. Manica is reportedly to build a milk processing factory and meat processing plant this year.
Currently Mozambique imports milk and other dairy products from South Africa and Europe. Enditem
