Mr Alfred Obeng-Boateng, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai has supported the Anglican Church in Humjibre with 100 bags of cement towards the construction of its auditorium.
The gesture is in fulfillment of a promise made during the 2020 electioneering campaign.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr Obeng-Boateng emphasised that he was committed to offering support and assistance to individuals, groups, and organisations within his constituency without discrimination, adding that the Church was not an exception.
Mr Obeng -Boateng said he would continue to support projects that greatly benefited community members in the constituency.
The MP earlier this year donated about 100 sewing machines and 20 hair dryers to some churches in Bibiani and Bekwai respectively.
Mr Obeng Boateng mentioned a number of projects he had supported including the provision of 45,000 rubber seedlings for outgrowing farmers, Cocoa station, packets of roofing sheets to residents among others.
The MP announced that plans were in place to start an oil palm nursery to boost the plantation of the crop in the constituency.
Receiving the items on behalf of the church, Reverend Father Robert Ali thanked the MP for the gesture.
According to him, the support had come at a time the church needed it the most and hoped that it would significantly contribute to the completion of the project.
Reverend Father Ali admonished the followers of the MP to eschew all divisive tendencies and unite for a common purpose.
