The Wembley Park in Kotobabi came alive on Friday evening when Togolese football star Emmanuel Adebayor showed up to train with Ghanaian celebrities ahead of the 2015 Star Soccer Fiesta.
The whole arena went agog as Adebayor?s fleet of cars filed in as he joined preparations of the celebrity team for the event which will take place this weekend in Kumasi.
Adebayor will join forces with Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan to play for the Ghanaian celebrity team made up of renowned musical artistes, movie stars and comedians against the professional football stars predominantly drawn from the Black Stars.
This is an annual fun game played between the two contrasting professionals primarily to raise money for charity.
The packed Wembley Park in Kotobabi greeted Adebayor with massive cheers upon arrival with him responding with a few dance moves before stripping down into his sporting gear to train with the side.
The arena was up once more again to greet another star at the tail end of the evening?s training session.
Fans gathered erupted with laughs at the sight of popular Nigerian actor John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu.
The bulky actor didn?t shy away from the massive reception he got as he pulled Adebayor to center circle to do a mini dance battle much to the delight and humour of all.
Both set of celebrity teams ? entertainer and football players ? will meet up at the Accra Mall on Saturday morning to set off in a massive road show from Accra to Kumasi.
The convoy will be making vantage stops enroute to Kumasi to interact with fans and engage in several promotional activities before the main event on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
