Mr. P Accuses Rudeboy of Marginalizing and Humiliating Him in Public Feud

Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P of the renowned music duo P-Square, has responded strongly to recent claims made by his brother and former bandmate, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy.

In a recent interview with City FM in Lagos, Rudeboy confirmed the dissolution of P-Square, asserting that Mr P expressed disinterest in the group and preferred to keep the split private.

Rudeboy also highlighted differing artistic visions for their separation, emphasizing his desire for the group’s return without repeating past mistakes.

Mr. P responded via an open letter on Instagram, accusing Rudeboy of consistently undermining his contributions to P-Square.

Peter Okoye alleged that Rudeboy and their elder brother Jude have turned the group into a “laughingstock” instead of working together to achieve success.

“My brother, neither of us is the most talented artist in the world, but you fail to understand that God gave us this talent and even granted us another chance to excel after our last breakup,” Mr. P wrote.

“Instead, you chose to turn the most awarded and decorated music group in Africa into a laughingstock again.”

Mr. P further claimed that Rudeboy and Jude conspired to undermine him and his efforts rather than collaborate to restore their former prominence in the music industry.

“Rather than joining forces with me to reclaim our number one spot in the music industry, you chose to team up with Jude to claim the number one spot in the P-Square group, always looking for opportunities to marginalize and humiliate me,” he added.

In his statement, Mr P questioned whether he or Rudeboy had achieved the same level of success individually as they did at P-Square.

“So, my brother, let me ask: Is Rudeboy or Mr P bigger and more successful than P-Square today? Are we individually selling out arenas and stadiums like P-Square used to? Are we topping world music charts with our songs as solo artists?” he asked.

Mr. P also addressed his previous silence regarding the ongoing disputes. He suggested that he would soon comment on other issues, including the recent arrest of his brother by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The feud between the Okoye brothers, once celebrated for their musical achievements as P-Square, continues to unfold publicly, raising questions about their future collaborations and personal relations.
