By 8:30PM before the programme started, fans of gospel songs have filled the section of the stadium that was prepared for the event.
The event took off with Noelle, a young local gospel musician who ushered the crowd into the presence of God with a sterling performance.
One after the other, musicians gave the audience soul-inspiring performances that saw everyone on their toes, with hands raised in total submission to God.
Another young and vibrant gospel musician, who is also an MTN staff Nana Perbi, lightened up the audience when he took over the microphone with his own African Rendition of Reggae worship to God getting everyone on their feet and more joyful as he was dressed also in HIS unique brand regalia”He introduced praise songs, the kind that is most often danced to in our churches.
This suddenly changed the atmosphere from a solemn-worship mood to a heated and excited one comparable to those seen on 31st December worship nights .
After these awesome opening performances, the MCs, television and radio icon, Jeremie of Y-FM and Citifm?s morning devotional host, Rev FredvMcDavid, piloted the programme through to the end.
The sensational Cecey Twum invigorated the audience both with her voice and her all gold sparkling gown. It was such a great experience when she raised Hillsong?s My Heart Your Home.
Then came, Ghanaian gospel veterans Tagoe Sisters. The two beautiful sisters did not disappoint either. They uplifted the souls of their audience with their Adonai, Se Mehwe, Mewo Yesu A and
No Tribe and Joe Mettle also kept the audience standing and
singing along to their songs of praise and thankfulness.
In fact these impeccable performances prepared the expectant audience to receive the international headline artistes, Nigeria?s celebrated Sinach and America?s William McDowell. Sinach indeed delivered her ?mad fun? performance to beats of her I Know Who I Am, Awesome God, Amazed, The Name of Jesus.
William McDowell kept the atmosphere charged and spirit-filled with a number of original songs such as You Are God Alone, I Belong To You, Withholding Nothing, I Give Myself Away and Ghana?s own Twi worship song ?Kronkron? which attracted a massive applause for him.
In all, Ghana stood in intense worship and thankfulness to God for six great hours. MTN Ghana, organizers of the event, promise a greater outpouring of the Spirit in next year.
