As part of 21 Yellow Care Challenge, MTN Ghana has taken another judicious step by organizing a summit for young CEO’s in the country.
Speaking at the event, the Senior Manager of MTN Ghana, Foundation Robert Kuzoe, explained that MTN’s 21 days of Y’ello Care is an annual staff volunteering programme that affords MTN staff an opportunity to volunteer their services by working in the communities to improve the livelihood of beneficiaries.
This he said, as part of the challenge, MTN Ghana has took another giant step by organizing a programme dubbed: “MTN Young CEO’s Summit” as a means of providing training in digital to the young CEO’s in the country.
The summit was to train over 50 young entrepreneurs on the advantages of using social networks such as Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, and LinkedIn to grow their businesses.
The digital experience given to the young CEO’s of today’s section would obviously impact their businesses as they are trying to set up their own companies.
“So today’s activities which forms part of the 21 Days of Yellow Care chose this initiative so that we could bring all of them on board to educate them on digital marketing.
And how they can package their products, engage clients and also get feedback so that they can expand their businesses and make impact to the society as a whole,” he explained.
During his presentation, a Digital Consultant with MTN Ghana, Dario Bianchi, disclosed that, about 10 million potential customers can be reached using the digital space for marketing.
According to him, by going digital they will be able to monitor the various activities of your brand and its products and services in a real-time.
Stressing that, young entrepreneurs should always endeavour to conduct surveys to get feedback to strengthen their customer relations.
However, advised young entrepreneurs to embrace digital marketing in order to boost their businesses.
Currently, the total number of active mobile internet users in the country is 9.37 million, which constitutes 31 per cent of the total population. It is in this regard, businesses needed to reach many of their customers through the internet to drive growth.
