MTN Ghana has presented a brand new Hyundai i10 salon car Mrs. Salomey Armah, a 24-year old worker of Plan and Grow Microfinance Company in Accra, for emerging as the ultimate winner of the second batch of the MTN Mobile Money @ 10 promotion.

Mrs. Salomey Armah, was rewarded for being the customer with the highest number of MoMo transactions for the month of July 2019 in the MTN MoMo @ 10 promotion.

Salomey Armah, who could not hide her joy, expressed her profound appreciation to MTN for acknowledging and rewarding her patronage of the service.

She also seized the golden opportunity to advise all customers to use MoMo primarily for the safety and convenience one could enjoy.

The presentation ceremony, which was held in a grand-style in Accra, also saw other top users receiving prizes such as Samsung 45, 49, 60 and 65 inches smart television sets and e-cash prizes ranging from GHȻ1,000 to GHȻ 3,000.

Speaking at the event, the General Manager of MTN Mobile Money Financial Services, Mr Eli Hini, emphasized that as the leader in the Mobile Money space, they have remained focused on making life simple through the use of MTN MoMo.

Explaining that, they launched the MoMo 10th anniversary a few months ago to tell the story of MoMo and the contribution they have made to make financial transactions very simple for their customers.

“To make the celebrations even more exciting for our cherished customers, we launched a consumer promotion to enable our customers win exciting prizes. This is to demonstrate the value we place on our customers,” he added.

Adding that, as a company they committed to delivering the best customer experience through innovative products and services.

According to him, MTN MoMo has made provision to reward 1000 customers every month from June to 31st of August this year as they celebrate 10 years of driving financial inclusion and making life very simple for customers through activities aimed at promoting a cash lite/cash less economy.

We will be presenting 10 winners with Hyundai vehicles. Other winners will receive Samsung UHD smart TVs and e- cash of up to GH₵ 3000.

The promotion is “Point based” and winners are expected to accumulate points during the month to win any of the prizes at stake.

Subscribers can gain points by undertaking transactions from their wallet to merchants (via merchant IDs) for retail payments, transferring from their wallets to other wallets and using MoMo to purchase data and airtime, bill payments, and many more.

At the end the month, we accumulate the points gained and reward the top point earners. You can check your points by dialing *120# or via the MoMo menu *170# option 7 – Win A Santa Fe.It’s important to note that points are not carried over into a new month!

He also seized the opportunity to advise customers of MoMo to remain alert and avoid scammers.

He therefore advised customers not to disclose their MoMo PIN to anyone, should not allow anyone to do transaction on their behalf and should not entertain calls or text messages from any number to discuss their wallet or respond to any promotion they have not participated in.

Stressing that, monthly winners will be notified only by MTN authorised personnel and via 0244 300 000.

This he said, winners will be given a two-week notification to claim their prize or indicate interest in the prize.
In the event where selected winners are not available to claim the prize, the prize will be awarded to the next customer in order of ranking.
