The acting National Chairman, Mr Uche Secondus has debunked reports that Alhaji Adamu Mu?azu and Chief Tony Anenih were forced to resign their positions.
Mu?azu quit his position on Wednesday as PDP National Chairman while Anenih quit as Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT).
Secondus made the clarification on Thursday in Abuja when he led some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) to meet with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa
Responding to questions from journalist, the acting national chairman said, ?nobody forced them to resign.??
On why Anenih and Mu?azu quit at the same time, Secondus said such situations happens sometimes and that he had no reason to resign along with Mu?azu.
?You know that is not right, it is unconstitutional, because the chairman resigned voluntarily and the BoT Chairman also resigned voluntarily.
?There is no reason for us to resign because we have worked hard,? he added
Secondus said the PDP was still in good shape and that its members would cooperate to re-organise and re-invent the party.
