The Founder and General Overseer of Overcomers Royal Sanctuary at Agona Swedru in the Central Region, Apostle Joshua Kobina Darko Spokwell has advised parents to be careful about the names they choose for their children, as according to him, names could have adverse effect and influence on one’s life, either positively or negatively.
Officiating a special naming ceremony over the weekend, Apostle Spokwell noted that every name has some spiritual implications, and as such choosing a name for a child without necessarily taking time to research the meaning of that name could affect the child’s entire future life.
Citing Biblical examples to buttress his claim, Apostle Spokwell indicated that the destiny of many people in the Bible were severely affected because if the names given them after birth..
He also noted that some people have become useless in their families and society because of their names, and has therefore advice parents to critically consider the names they choose for their children after birth.
