Namibia will host the 2020 World Skills Africa competition, Namibia Training Authority (NTA) said Thursday.

Speaking in an interview, NTA Chief Executive Officer Jerry Beukes said he was happy to have won the bid.

“We are delighted by the decision of the African members and global partners of world skills international for this competition essentially for the African continent to be going to Namibia. We look forward to be hosting our African members and non-members,” said Beukes.

The competition will take place in the third quarter of 2020, on a date that is still to be announced.

The world skills competition is a platform for technical students to develop their skills. Enditem
