Namibia to launch revised media code of ethics

Namibian President Hage Geingob is expected to launch the revised media code of ethics on May 10 in Windhoek.

In a press statement released Wednesday, information ministry permanent secretary Mbeuta Ua-Ndjarakana urged the media to practice ethical journalism.

“As we continue to highlight the importance of an independent press for the development and preservation of democracy and economic development in the country and the world at large, the media is also reminded to practice ethical journalism,” Ua-Ndjarakana said. Enditem
