Jonas, who stayed behind in Brazil when the team returned to Namibia, is currently in the custody of the Namibian Embassy in that country.
In a statement seen by Xinhua Sunday, the chef de mission of the Namibian Olympics team Jesse Schickerling said Jonas’ legal practitioners have also submitted the boxer’s preliminary defense.
Schickerling said Jonas’ lawyers have asked the judge to speed up the legal proceedings before the start of the Paralympics games. Enditem
