Twenty street dancers will represent Namibia at the Inter-Continental Dance Championship held by the Global Dance Supreme from Sept. 26 to 29 in Randburg, South Africa, an official said Tuesday.

Dance Sport Namibia’s representative Venancius Rukero confirmed to Xinhua Tuesday that the 20 dancers selected comprise of both male and female, and will form part of the more than 2,000 dancers from 32 nations that will compete for the championship’s “bragging rights”.

Rukero said Dance Sport Namibia will be host a couple of dance showcase fundraising events from Aug. 19-23 in Windhoek, the capital city.

According to Rukero, the funds raised will be used by the Namibian team towards their international participation fees, transportation, meals, and their official sportswear.

Meanwhile, the Global Dance Supreme said the best performing crews who competed in the 2019 Inter-continental Dance Championship Semi-Finals, will compete in the finals, an event true to the real values of hip hop dance and street culture. Enditem
