Nana Osei Afrifa, CEO of Afrifanom Group, has been installed as the Nkosuohene (Chief of Development) of Juaso in the Asante-Akim South district of the Ashanti region.
The installation ceremony, held on Saturday (13 July 2024), celebrated Afrifa’s longstanding commitment and contributions to the town’s development.
During the colourful event, attended by residents of Juaso, Afrifa was formally introduced as the newly installed development chief. According to local chiefs, the appointment recognizes Afrifa’s dedication and consistency in advancing the community.
In conjunction with the installation, Afrifanom Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Afrifanom Group, donated a fully furnished 8-unit classroom block to mark the centenary celebration of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Juaso. Equipped with air conditioning units and projectors in each classroom, the facility includes a computer laboratory to enhance the learning environment for students at Juaso Catholic Primary School.
At the commissioning ceremony, Nana Afrifa emphasized the importance of education and community development: “I was born here, grew up here, and it’s a privilege to give back to enrich our society.”
