Nana Seeks Ancestral Guidance in Kwanyako

Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo and his entourage have taken their campaign tour to Kwanyako in the Agona East District of the Central Region recently where he sought ancestral blessing.

By 9am the premises of the Traditional Council had been filled to capacity as supporters, party members, chiefs and queen mothers were eagerly waiting for the arrival of Nana Addo and his retinue.

The whole place was electrified immediately Nana and his team arrived at the palace at about 11:00 am to pay a courtesy call on the chief of the area, Nana Dr Ampim Darko V, while supporters were chanting songs amidst drumming and dancing.

Nana Addo stated that there was the need to visit the chief to seek his blessing in respect of the journey he had embarked upon.

He later donated an undisclosed amount of money and bottles of Schnapps to the traditional council to always remember him in their prayers to make him get the nod in the 2016 general election.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Nana Akufo-Addo emphatically stated that although he is not a perfect man, he is an honest man who would not come to steal money when he becomes president but would perform creditably for Ghanaians to be happy.

He said adequate  measures would be given to agricultural in the areas of supply fertilizers, construction of dams, supply of chemicals and incentive to farmers to increase production,

He gave the assurance that under his government there would be a strong economy that would set Ghanaians free Ghanaians from poverty and other social problems.

Nana Ampim Darko commended Nana Addo for starting the tour in the area, adding that that was the third time Nana Addo had visited the place. “God willing, you will get the nod but please don’t forget us when you get there,” the chief appealed.

Nana Addo took the tour to Agona West where he interacted with the traders at the markets.

At Gomoa Central,  he noted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Government had collapsed all social interventions introduced by former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s NPP administration; and  promised that his government would resuscitate all collapsed industries and manufacturing companies

His four-day tour would take him to 14 constituencies in the region.
