Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emphasized that the party’s success in the upcoming December 7 elections hinges on divine intervention rather than strategic planning alone.
Speaking at the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Mount Olivet Methodist Church in Lagos Town, Takoradi, on Saturday, Dr. Prempeh, commonly known as NAPO, called for spiritual support for the party’s electoral ambitions.
“The possibility of winning is only with God,” Dr. Prempeh asserted.
“Nothing is possible without God’s involvement. It is not just about planning; it is about divine backing.
With the support of the Methodist Church, we are confident of our success.”
He further stated, “Whether people admit it or not, only God can influence outcomes, turning angels and even stones to support us.
Only God can bestow favour upon us and transform leaders’ hearts to improve.”
Dr Prempeh’s remarks underscore the party’s central reliance on spiritual guidance and divine favour in its campaign strategy.
This reflects a belief that ultimate success depends on more than political strategy and organization.
