Two vehicles collided and burst into flames
Six persons were reportedly killed in an auto crash that occurred on Wednesday evening at Akwanga, Nasarawa State.
Four persons were also injured during the misfortune.
An eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the two vehicles collided and caught fire while the drivers were trying to overtake each other.
The witness said the six people died on the spot while four other sustained injuries.
Francis Udoma, the state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who confirmed the accident and number of casualties, said he was yet to get detailed report on the matter.
?They put a call through to me that there was an accident in Akwanga and that six people had died. So I am still waiting for the detailed report from our officers,? he said.
The bodies of the victims have been deposited in a mortuary, while the injured ones are receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
