The event is earmarked to be the largest gathering of start-up entrepreneurs, investors and start-up eco-system leaders in an exclusive setting for networking, exhibitions, workshops and awards.
Speaking at a ceremony to launch the event, Michael Ayirebi, Chief Executive Officer of Stillwater Equity Partners, said the objective of the festival was to initiate the campaign to build the next generation of global brands brewed in Africa.
He reiterated his company?s commitment to invest in start-ups in the sub-region, hence organising the festival.
Mr Emmanuel Nyame, Chairman, StartUp Cup Ghana, explained that the event would have four main features, including a free exhibition session to give visibility and growth opportunities to participating start-ups and their founders.
?It will also have a workshop which will feature prominent names in Marketing, Branding and Finance to empower participating entrepreneurs with important skill sets in marketing and raising capital,? he said.
He said there would also be a plenary session to be led by seven successful start-up entrepreneurs including the Pitch Battle where seven selected startups would pitch for the opportunity to compete in the World StartUp Cup Competition in the United States.
This year?s event is supported by the Young Entrepreneurs Savings (YES FUND); a product of ASN Financial Services that supports young entrepreneurs to build capital for their dream businesses.
