Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a member of the manifesto committee for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has outlined the party’s strategic goal for the 2024 elections, aiming to secure 14 out of 18 parliamentary seats in Ghana’s Northern Region.

In an interview with TV3’s Mawuena Egbeta during the NDC’s campaign launch in Tamale, Afriyie Ankrah underscored the NDC’s unwavering commitment to the Northern Region, stating that it is not just a region, but a crucial part of the party’s momentum.

“e stated, “The target is to win 14 seats out of the 18 in the Northern Region in the upcoming” elections.”

Afriyie Ankrah also criticized the current administration led by President Nana Akufo-Addo, attributing the party’s expected success to widespread discontent over economic mismanagement. He argued that the NDC’s platform not only acknowledges these issues but also offers a promising alternative, instilling hope for a better future.

“The mismanagement of the economy is evident across all sectors. The public’s frustration with this performance drives them toward the NDC,” Afriyie Ankrah said.
