The President, John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Kumasi for the party?s congress. His arrival according to his team will form the last round of his ?Thank you tour? accross the country.
President Mahama has visited all the regions in the country to thank the Chiefs and people for their support and contribution towards the funeral and burial ceremony of the late President John Mills.?However,the Ashanti Region is the last region the President is visiting.?
Reports coming from Spyghana?news team indicate that NDC delegates have begun arriving Kumasi for the party?s extra-ordinary congress which begins today, and it happens to be the congress that will officially endorse President Dramani Mahama as the party?s flagbearer for the December general elections.
Over 2,000 delegates are expected to converge on the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the event which is under the theme, ?Advancing a Better Ghana Agenda; working for you?.?
Indications are that the NDC is almost through with the preparations, with the main congress taken off today in earnest.
According to the party, today will be mainly devoted to the main congress and campaign launch in the morning which will be followed by a rally and the campaign launch.
