The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region has set its sights on securing 14 parliamentary seats in the upcoming 2024 general elections, aiming to bolster its regional representation.
Mohammed Abdul-Salam, Northern Regional Secretary of the NDC, expressed confidence in the party’s readiness to contest and win significant poll seats.
The NDC launched its campaign in Tamale on Saturday, July 27, strategically focusing on reclaiming seats from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Abdul-Salam emphasized the party’s ambition to secure all 18 parliamentary seats in the region, highlighting ongoing efforts and strategies deployed by party members.
“We are prepared to win 14 seats, with our ultimate goal being all 18 seats because we believe they are all within our reach. Our grassroots efforts and field strategies are robust, reflected in credible surveys placing the NDC ahead of the NPP across all regions,” Abdul-Salam affirmed.
