The program, launched by the labour ministry, required companies that employ more than 25 people to register whenever there are job vacancies.

Both designated employers and job seekers have access to the website http://nieis.namibiaatwork.gov.na/, where they can post vacancies and at the same time retrieve applications from the job seekers.

“This has created a linkage between the employers and the registered job seekers,” the labour ministry said in a statement Thursday.

The labour ministry said so far 2,240 job seekers have been placed, while 12, 075 are registered for jobs. Enditem
