The National Investment Bank (NIB), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, has donated GH?10,000.00) to the Ghana Blood Foundation.
The Foundation, which is part of the National Blood Transfusion Service focuses on the mobilisation of blood, education of the public and researching into blood related issues.
It also provides blood free of charge to beneficiaries in critical situations.
The essence of the donation, therefore, is to enable the Blood Foundation undertake its core mandate of making blood geographically and financially accessible to every patient in Ghana who requires transfusion therapy.
The Reverend Paa Ekow Quaye, the Chairman of the Ghana Blood Foundation, received the cheque on behalf of the Foundation from Mr. Charles Wordey, the Head of Corporate Affairs of the NIB.
Mr. Wordey reiterated that the bank would continue to support stakeholders in communities in which it operated and charged the Foundation to use the donation for the intended purpose only.
Rev. Quaye thanked NIB for the generous support and promised that the donation would be put to good and effective use.
