So far, the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Pilot League has been very successful, as coaches expressed their positive views.
A number of coaches spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos and revealed their satisfaction with the organisation of the tournament.
“So far in the league, there has not been any delay in a match and that is because the federation has done its homework,” said Ifeoma Isaac, the Titan’s Table Tennis Club coach.
“It ensured that all logistics were in place before the commencement of the league.”
Isaac also revealed that the players were getting better week by week and has pleaded with the NTTF to ensure the league carries on.
Meanwhile, Samson Ajayi, coach of the Union Bank Table Tennis Club, believes the league has brought a good level of excitement amongst the players.
“It is a training tour because they challenge different players and have to approach each match with different attitudes,” said Ajayi.
“I can assure you that the players’ confidence level has changed and they are far better off than they were before the league served-off.”
