Speaking at the inauguration of the 2015 dry season farming for wheat and rice farmers in the northern city of Kano, Ogbeh said the project was to improve the production of milk and meat through crossbreeding, using insemination of local livestock.

He said the importance of agriculture to the economy could not be over-emphasized, hence the administration would diversify the economy to lay greater emphasis on agricultural production.

He urged Nigerian youths to embrace agriculture to become self-reliant and enhance their welfare.

He said the government was determined to empower the youth through agriculture by providing each student of agriculture in universities and colleges a farm land. Enditem
