Men of the Nigerian Police Force laying siege at the secretariat of the People?s Democratic Party at Oyemekun Road, Akure have now left the premises.

The police who had locked up the place on Monday, left the office following a protest letter from members of the dissolved PDP executive to the Commissioner of Police, Isaac Eke.

Chairman of the ?Old PDP? Ebenezer Alabi, said his group protested the closure of the place through a letter, explaining to the Commissioner of Police that the office ought not to be closed because the administrative staff needed to be on duty.

He said, ?Even if we have been dissolved, we are still members of the party and we have other businesses that we should be there to perform. Besides, the administrative staff ought to still be on duty.

?We informed them that it was unfair to close the office and allow another PDP office to be operating in Akure.?
