Artmosphere Nigeria in partnership with Committee for Relevant Arts, CORA, curators of the Lagos Book and Arts Festival is set to organise 2018 LABAF for FELA @80 Tribute.
The Tribute session seeks to engage contemporary musicians on the influence of Fela music on their craft.
It is conceived to recognize the growing status of music as a tool for social, cultural and political engagements, which can be seen in the lyrical texture and performance styles of young musicians.
We would be glad to have you participate in the Conversations that we expect to generate through this Tribute session, which is also designed to commemorate the 80th birthday anniversary of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, social activist and creator of the global music genre, Afrobeat.
