The Ningo-Prampram District Directorate of Education is ready to conduct the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for final year pupils of Junior High Schools from Monday November 15, 2021.
Mr Raymond Akadi, Ningo-Prampram Education Directorate’s Public Relations Officer told the Ghana News Agency at Tema that the District registered a total of 3,382 candidates made up of 1,115 and 2,267 for private and public schools respectively.
Mr Akadi added that the candidates would sit for the examinations in eleven centres in the district under the supervision of eleven Supervisors and 118 Invigilators.
He said the Directorate had so far made the necessary preparations that included; sensitization workshops for pupils, teachers and invigilators on the dos and don’ts of the examination.
He said the district also distributed writing materials including; writing sheets to the various centres in addition to serving invigilators with letters.
The PRO said they were also collaborating with the Ghana Police Service and Ghana Health Service for the deployment of officers and nurses respectively to all the centres to take care of any eventualities.
Mr Akadi said to ensure timely conveyance of examination papers from the various depot to the centres, they had also written to the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly (NIPDA) to assist them with distribution vehicles.
He added that a further briefing for invigilators were carried out by Mr Ransford Kofi Nsiah Lolih and other officers on Friday and also shared their centres for them ahead of the takeoff of the examination on Monday.
In accordance with the Ghana Health Service directives all COVID-19 protocols would be adhered to at all the centres.
