NIS alleges theft of six Nigerian passports by Boko Haram

ABUJA- The Nigerian Immigration Service Thursday alleged theft of six booklets of Nigerian international passports by the islamist sect, Boko Haram, in raid of Yobe State Immigration passport office.

A statement by the Service gave details of the missing passport, warning of dire consequences for any one found in possession of the document.

A statement made available to journalists by Superintendent of Immigration in the Public Relations Unit, Mohammed Musa, said: “The Comptroller General of Nigerian Immigration Service, Mrs Rose Uzoma has directed to inform the general public that the under listed  six passport booklets have been declared missing as a result of the vandalization of the passport office, Damaturu, Yobe state.

“The six passports are AO2915421, AO2915422, AO2915423, AO2915428, AO2915472 and AO2915473.”
The statement warned that “any person found in possession of any of the above missing passport numbers shall be apprehended and made to face the full wrath of the law””.

The Service further advised those wishing to acquire the Nigerian travel e- passport to go to the Nigerian Immigration Service passport office spread across the various state capitals in Nigeria.
