Police Chief Superintendent Edward Konyel, Nkawie Divisional Commander has advised drivers and market women in the area to comply with the government directive of social distancing in their own interest.
He said life was more precious than money and that, traders and drivers should adhere strictly to the safety and precautionary measures outlined by the Ministry of Health and the government to prevent themselves from contracting the virus.
Interacting with market women and drivers at Nkawie, Mr Konyel warned them not to abuse the social distancing directives.
They should follow all the preventive protocols and restrictions in order not to be confronted with the few security personnel charged to ensure law and order in the area.
Superintendent Konyel advised them to avoid crowding and unnecessary shouting during conversations to help prevent possible spread of the virus in the area.
