Celtic manager Neil Lennon says the Scottish Premier League side will not sign Ghana midfielder Frank Acheampong.

The 18-year-old, who plays for Thai Premier League side Buriram United, arrived at Lennoxtown late last month for trial.

Lennon has revealed he will not be taking things further with Acheampong who was valued at US$ 1 million.

?We have made tentative approaches but won?t be pursuing Frank [Acheampong],? Lennon said.

Acheampong has hit 12 goals for Buriram in all competitions this season and could increase his tally as the Thunder Castle are in the FA Cup and League Cup finals.

He made his Ghana debut in August this year in the 1-1 draw with China where he was handed a starting role.
