MOGADISHU — At least 12 people were killed Sunday as Al-Shabaab militants stormed a hotel in Mogadishu, capital of Somalia, police and witnesses said.

LONDON — A group of people have clashed with police in central London when the latter tried to stop an illegal rave, according to a statement released Sunday by Britain’s Metropolitan Police.

ATHENS — Eleven refugees drowned after a six-meter-long plastic dinghy carrying people from Turkey to Greek shores capsized in the Aegean Sea on Sunday, the Greek Coast Guard announced.

LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan — Up to 30 Taliban fighters were killed in Nahr-e-Saraj district of the southern Helmand province on Sunday, provincial police chief Nabi Jan Mullahkhil said.

JERUSALEM — The Israeli military said Sunday it shot and killed a knife-wielding Palestinian after he tried to stab a soldier during a violent protest near the West Bank city of Hebron.
